Hello, Octopi!

I'm Matt Hunt, a professional poker player and coach originally from the UK and currently living in Las Vegas. I've been playing tournaments professionally since 2011, and racked up over $4million in cashes across both live and online tournaments, including four WSOP final tables. Since 2013 I've coached over 200 students for a combined total of more than 4,000 hours of one-to-one coaching, and recently my students have racked up more than $3million in live earnings alone since the beginning of 2023.

I've worked with players from all backgrounds, from up-and-coming online grinders to high-stakes recreational players. I've made educational content and delivered coaching sessions for half a dozen different training sites and outlets, both virtually and in-person.

Whether you're just getting started on your tournament poker journey or you're an experienced competitor, I'll be able to tailor a coaching package to meet your needs. Players tend to think that coaching follows a set structure, but I'm not a believer in that approach. Good coaching needs to be flexible and adaptable to the student's priorities.

In our sessions we'll do a lot of solver work, but we'll supplement it with theory-based sessions on ICM, exploitative adjustments, and mental game preparation where required. I'm excited to help you progress your game and explore the fascinating and complex world of poker tournament strategy.
