Reaching Your Potential with Stephen Chidwick

Hello everyone.

I am happy to be offering private coaching for the first time here on Octopi Poker. Over the last decade I have dedicated myself to the goal of becoming the best live tournament poker player I can be. It has been a challenging, fulfilling and ongoing journey which has taught me countless lessons about not only poker, but also myself and the world around me. Now, with my travel schedule reduced for the time being, I'm looking to work with a small number of students to share some of what I have learned and help you in the pursuit of your goals, whatever they may be.

My biggest strengths are strong foundations of theoretical understanding and application of repeated exploits over time against regular opponents. I can also provide insight on many of pokers 'soft skills' such as shot clock management, preparation, accessing your A-game, strategies for playing when feeling 'off', dealing with setbacks, how to study, how to decide what to play, as well as balancing poker/life. I am less in touch with the online meta but have spent significant time playing online in the past and will be happy to adapt my coaching to whatever would be most relevant for you and your goals.
