Jeff Madsen grew up in Los Angeles, California and took an interest in poker after watching Chris Moneymaker win the World Series of Poker Main Event in 2003. Jeff’s natural affinity for gaming and immediate love of poker led to him committing the next 3 years to studying and leveling up his game; The goal was to compete in the 2006 World Series of Poker, taking place right after his 21st birthday. When the 2006 series finally came around, Jeff’s preparation proved favorable as he was able to come out of nowhere to become the youngest bracelet winner at the time, and by the end of the summer he was crowned the WSOP Player of the Year.
Jeff’s early success allowed him to become a full-time professional player, and since 2006 he has been a consistent fixture on the poker circuit, traveling the world playing in some of the most prestigious poker tournaments around while battling the best in the world. Jeff developed an interest in coaching poker along the way, and he currently invests a large portion of his time into improving the abilities of his students. His approach to poker and life is to keep a balanced and well-rounded perspective, and he continues to love poker as much as ever, which shines through in his private coaching.
